Jim, managing associations is what we already do, and do well in my estimation although I could be biased
By taking what we already do, and our economy of scale, we can offer those same services to outside, and inside the family entities, for revenue. Our services would have to be better and provide a value to both groups or they would not see the need to use them. This additional revenue then helps fund PAR and keeps your dues charged as low as possible. PAR’s dues have not raised recently as others have and this approach of looking for other sources of income is partly the reason. So is this management service something you will tangibly see day to day?? No. But it does help the association which in turn helps you the member and the dollars you pay.
Jim, the goal of the new management company is to create new and better services for members at the local level while taking advantage of the economy of scale that PAR can deliver. In other words, better value for your dues dollar.
Jackie – How in the world do you reach that conclusion? How will the creation of a fee-based management service benefit me, as a PAR member?
Jim McLane
These are exciting new changes that will benefit all of our members.
