How closely do you guard your online identity?
When I logged back into my Twitter account yesterday after being away for the holidays, I quickly learned hackers targeted thousands of Twitter users to try and steal their personal information.
At the top of my Twitter page, there’s even a warning that says: “Warning! Don’t sign in to fake Twitter.com from a DM. Read more on our blog.”
You can read more about the Twitter phishing scam on washingtonpost.com.
How safely do you guard your online identity? With so many places to create your identity, like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, do you have the same login credentials or do you create a unique one for each site? I’m guessing you have one login and one password so they are easy to remember. But be warned, using the same user/pass make you an easy target for hackers.
