The board approved a $4.1 million budget for 2010 during its fall meeting Wednesday at the Harrisburg Hilton. According to PAR Treasurer Frank Jacovini, the finance committee presented the budget with these expectations: dues revenue was based on a four-percent decrease in membership; there was no expected income from tenants in PAR’s new building and investments were based on a three percent return on PAR’s average investment balance.
The board approved waiving the 50 percent minimum cash reserve policy for a limit of three years and no more than a four percent decrease.
The board approved $27,000 funding to continue implementing the Multicultural Strategic Plan, which was approved by the board earlier this year. The funding will be used to implement a multicultural web site and to retain the Gonzales Group as consultants to assist in securing potential partnerships.
