Industry News, TechnologyPMAR offers listings benefit to members
The Pocono Mountains Association of REALTORS® (PMAR) has found an easy and free way to get their members’ listings out to more than 300 web sites like Trulia, Zillow, HGTV’s FrontDoor.com, craigslist and YahooRealEstate.com.
Using the Point2Agent Syndication Dashboard, a web-based company that syndicates listings and distributes them across popular home-search sites nationwide, PMAR automatically downloads listings from its MLS to 35 pre-selected real estate sites. Thirty-five percent of PMAR members are currently signed onto the service which has been offered since early February.
“We chose Point2Agent as one of our syndication partners because it’s one of the biggest syndication networks and offers lots of easy-to-use features to our members and, through them, consumers,” said PMAR President Lisa Sanderson. “It’s all about member benefits this year. They need and deserve some up-to-the-minute tools to enhance their businesses as they prepare for better market conditions ahead. Ultimately the consumer benefits because sellers get more exposure and buyers have broader access to listing information than ever before.”
According to Point2Agent, syndication is becoming one of the fastest growing listing advertising mediums on the Internet today. Sanderson said PMAR also recently signed an agreement with ListHub to offer members another syndication benefit.
As a user of the dashboard, PAR member Rick Cordisco, owner of Pocono Mountain Lakes Realty, said, “It’s a great listing tool that not all REALTORS® use. The one positive is being able to provide sellers with ‘virtual views’ even when they haven’t gotten any physical showings on a week-to-week basis. I do use ListHub already which is more or less a duplicate syndication service with a little overflow to some other sites. Personally the biggest benefit is being able to list ALL of these sites and blow my seller’s mind at a listing interview.”
