PAR to testify on AMCs

PAR is scheduled to testify about appraisal management companies (AMCs) according to PAR Legislative Committee Chair Kim Skumanick.

Skumanick reported about the upcoming testimony during PAR’s Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, May 26.

Michelle Bradley, chair of PAR’s AMC Task Force, will present information in support of new legislation governing AMCs at the House Professional Licensure Committee on June 16.

The Association Executive Search Task Force is continuing its process of selecting a new association executive for PAR, according to Chair Bob Hay.

In other business, the PAR Board of Directors approved:

• A change to several PAR Bylaws including the selection process of NAR directors
• The Commercial, Industrial and Investment Committee as a standing committee.

PAR’s Screening Committee presented the 2010-2011 candidates:

• Guy Matteo for President
• Frank Jacovini, President Elect
• Bette McTamney, First Vice President
• Joe McGavin and Kim Skumanick for treasurer
• Patti Copeland, District 1 Vice President
• Paul Garvey, District 3 Vice President
• Raul Azpiazu, District 5 Vice President
• John Capers, District 7 Vice President
• Eileen Campbell, District 9 Vice President.
