In a new effort to raise RPAC funds, the National Association of REALTORS® is offering a Fundraising Event Grant of up to $5,000 to local associations/boards to assist in RPAC fundraising efforts. Several local associations in Pennsylvania have taken advantage of the available funds. The most recent recipients, the Reading-Berks Association of REALTORS® (R-BAR) and the REALTORS® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh (RAMP), are excited about this new opportunity.

Chuck Liedike, Local Government Affairs Director for R-BAR, commented on their upcoming Murder Mystery Dinner fundraiser. “Our goal is to bring in new RPAC investors. This is the first of three Murder Mystery Dinner fundraisers throughout the year, for which NAR grant money is being applied.”

R-BAR is not the only association planning an exciting fundraiser. RAMP is gearing up for their most successful RPAC fundraiser, the Diamond Bracelet Fundraiser. Jennifer Cloonan, Local Government Affairs Director for RAMP, praised NAR for their new initiative. “NAR is making it possible for RAMP to hold a fundraiser that will expand our base,” said Jennifer. “In addition to reaching new members, this event provides the perfect opportunity for previous investors to maintain their level of giving.”

Applying for the grant is easy. Just complete the application available on NAR’s website. The main stipulation is that the funds be used for RPAC fundraising purposes, such as a fundraising event, the creation and distribution of promotional material, major donor development and/or RPAC messaging for new member orientation.

What could your association/board do with $5,000?
