PAR Board approves revised annual budget

PAR Board approves revised annual budget

PAR’s Board of Directors approved a revised budget for 2010-2011, reducing the projected deficit to $73,000 from the initially projected deficit of $233,900. The projected deficit is the result of decreased membership, lower investment revenue and reduced income from forms sales.

Rendell proposes taxing all non-essential services in 2010-11 budget

Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell proposed creating the Stimulus Transition Reserve Fund, a strategy to help the state save money now to help protect and preserve the fiscal stability of the Commonwealth. “A fiscal tsunami is coming at us and I believe we must act now to mitigate its impact,” he said.

Several real estate issues to come before state legislature

One of the first issues up in the New Year is the PA Housing Trust Fund. The House is scheduled to vote on legislation creating the PA Housing Trust Fund in the next several weeks, according to Jennifer Shockley, PAR assistant director, government affairs.
